How much discomfort can you tolerate?

Success factor? How much discomfort you can tolerate.

You can learn to tolerate discomfort.

(🪬PSA: IF you are feeling queasy reading this and have DISCOMFORT coming up for you in responsetomy words, know that you may have lots of unresolved trauma that needs to be seen, understood, and validated before you agree to allow these words to be true for you.)

Just how much discomfort can your body and mind tolerate?

Just how far are you willing to go to find out?

❄️❄️Think about ice plunge therapy as an example. Essentially, amongst so many other benefits, we find that adjusting to the cold temperature requires the ability to focus on your body and breathing and not on your thoughts! Your thoughts will create a bombardment of discomfort, and if you allow it, will shorten your stay in the cold water, not lengthen it!

Why is that?

The unconscious thinking part of our brain produces thoughts that are based on the patterns of past wounds and on basic protection and survival. The thoughts you say you're thinking are really being fed to you unconsciously by your conditioning. Being OK is believed to be the most important condition in that part of your brain.

But, as souls in this human experience, we won't always be OK! Very often, we will feel heavy energies from different emotions in our bodies because of experiences we are having. And that is OK. Very often, we will feel heavy energies because of the different thoughts that we are having. And that is OK too. There has to be a way to teach the body and the mind that not being OK in this moment is still safe and OK.

❄️❄️This is where ice plunge therapy comes in.

But it's not just ice-cold water that can teach your conscious mind new tricks. There are other effective ways to learn to properly focus on the conscious mind and to put empowering thoughts into your psyche. Any fitness training will help you achieve more mastery over your thoughts and emotions. Begin by showing up to the gym with a commitment and see how your mind, body, and breath begin to build a new relationship with each other to create mastery over your internal world.

❗️Try ice plunge therapy. ❗️

❗️Try fitness training.❗️

❗️Try something new every day.❗️

❗️Start difficult conversations every day.❗️

You will learn:

🔶️🔶️All difficult moments pass.

🔷️🔷️All pleasurable moments pass.

🔶️🔶️Experiences are meant to be experienced.

🔷️🔷️Energies are meant to move through us.

Thoughts are gently passing by your conscious mind all day. You can allow them to move on in the background of your awareness.

You can feel your discomfort in this moment and know it's just that: discomfort.

You will learn to meet up with any emotion or thought or sensation you are experiencing and just welcome it.
